Dear Friends,
I came upon this writing this morning. I love it. Since studying w/Dr. Estes in June I have been in deep contemplation. Her devotion, over forty years of focus, to mending the traumas in the beings yielded a practice called Descansos which she taught during the week long
The Mysterium: Psychology . . . In the Truest Sense of the Word, we will delve into rejoining body to the other four aspects of our being: layered mind, emotional heart, ancient soul, and animating child spirit.
I recognized that her approach was a mirror reflection of my lifetime of dedication as healer who reads the body-mind and the integration of the five elements and the Indigenous people’s medicine wheel. As I settle into my herstorian, translator self I am filled with gratitude at a sister “beloved”, Clarissa’s extreme urgency to get this skill building, whole healing tool out to the community. Contrary to many great teachers who claim ownership, authority…limiting who can share their tools.
I am going to offer a class this fall to share this psychotherapeutic, shamanistic, soul mending tool. If interested please let me know.
