2014 some call the Golden Age. For myself I have always been instinctively drawn to the original Peoples wisdom for walking in good relations with all the family of Light, Life, and Nature. The Mayans’ star knowledge, the Hopi’s planetary peacemaking prophecies, the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers’ showing up and sharing wisdom as a result of simultaneous demands/urges from the creator; to cross- cultural storytellers like Dr. Angie Arriene , Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Dhyani Ywahoo and Brooke Medicine Eagle.
Thomas Banyaca, a Hopi Spiritual messenger, impressed two wisdoms on me, first; “Become one with the mountains, the cloud beings, the weather, the wind and the water.” Secondly,” If the Elders will Speak, the Young will Listen.” Back in the 70’s, he predicted a time would come, like the return of the “Ghost Dancers”, and the land based people will have to share their innate, respectful, generative relationship with Mother Earth and Father Sky to help restore “Heaven on Earth”.
East on the Great Wheel of Life, Springtime, is the home of the Visionary archetype and is often symbolized by the power presence of the Eagle, Red Tail Hawk, great winged ones. What I love about East work is the connection with all the Great Teachers, Wisdom keepers of all Times (Jesus, Buddha, Gandhi, Mother Teresa, White Buffalo Calf Woman, Kwan Yin, etc.) in line with honoring the “Rock Beings”, revered as the Ancient Ones having lived the longest on this Sweet Earth. As I have been taught, All the Winged Ones are Messengers from the North, home of Great Spirit/Creator/God.
It is difficult for me to have a gloomy outlook on life as I have had the good fortune of living in the backyard of a nesting Red Tail Hawk couple. Since January the Hawk couple have displayed great love for each other with their daily calling and elliptical dancing overhead and then later their tender grooming of each other perched over their great nest. I’ve learned their daily routine starting with the sun rising in the East they take their stance/perch at the top of the mighty tree so that their chest and face can drink in the warmth and radiance of a new day. I am part of their “eagle eye” attention. Whenever two or more of us gather in prayer, in an instant the hawk will soar overhead, dipping a wing giving a call.
The purpose is to be a positive, co-creative community, cross-cultural, committed to upgrade the ways in which we relate to each other, our Earth, our governing organization and our educational system. Bringing to the forefront What’s Working in our special little place on the planet especially as it concerns our water, our soil, our seeds, our green livelihoods, our children, our elders, and respectful sustainable communication to move past the eon of bullying and destruction.
I have been repairing these past few years and it has only been in the last few months that my traumatic brain injury has recalibrated, been upgraded to such a fine state that I recognize I am back…but new. I state I am still here in order to show a up and bring leverage to the “Light, the Positive, the respectful, the peacemaking, the compassionate to win over the despair, the depression, the disbelief, the fear, the anger, the judgment, the denigration, the bullying and belittling.
I have seen the possibility of our children’s, children’s children living a beautiful, harmonious, generative life in our Garden of Eden Earth. May the optimism, encouragement, the inspiration be nourished in each of us so that we may show up and celebrate our commitment to live together unified for everyone’s sake.
