Suzanne Lewis Medicine Beings Standards

Medicine Beings Standards
Suzanne Lewis

One of the standards required of a Medicine Being is to sustain the positive, the loving, the way of beautiful and no harm. Each wounded one who seeks mending must come ready to do the work necessary to rebuild, regenerate one’s authentic blueprint of well-being and cosmic purpose. The Medicine Person must stay home in their “wisdom eye” of clear seeing knowings. While seeking the participation of the wounded one’s highest nature, best of traits, one always stays on alert to the beings broken nature and its false patterns of projection, seduction, victimization and superiority, the judge and jury.
The imbalance person has to choose who shows up in the treatment. The Medicine Person must uphold strong integrity fields of protection.
A long time ago I learned as a lifeguard that before one dives in to save another, one must remember that the drowning one will do anything to save themselves including climbing on top of the rescuer, drowning them in order to be on top. The lifeguard must assess the environment, the conditions of the water and their own stamina and talents and support before leaping into the deep waters.
West workers have multiple archetypal names from Shaman, to Teacher to Green Medicine person. West on the Great Wheel of Life is symbolically connected to the ocean, to cycles, to emotions. In the Five Element theory fall, west, is ruled by the Metal Element composed of the Lungs and Large Intestine organs. Simply stated the lungs carry one’s inspiration, our original meaning and intent for living. I often share if we breathe, we are enough for I contend it is our creator breathing through us. Whereas the Large Intestine rules our ability to let go that which no longer serves one’s highest good. The Large Intestine often connects to one’s sense of security, home base, our sense of foundation especially developed while in our childhood.
I often say that when one finds themselves in a state of “repeating” an unhealthy pattern one more time—the individual totally desires to never live it out again…no more…it simultaneously is called “Breaking the Chains/Patterns, unhealthy familial or cultural trainings. Most importantly, we have not one breath to blame, shame or judge anybody else….not one’s parents, not the church, not the government…
It is the moment of personal autonomy where one must dive into their own authentic, original deepest of cosmic purposes for earth life. We must choose who’s driving the company car. Who’s in the driver seat?

The Shaman, the Spirit Seer or “far seer” (far back to far out), steeped in an encyclopedia of Earth Life chapters, with intact wiring often is called on behalf of the fractured being. The one divorced from their original medicine bundle filled with gifts and talents, stuck in the quagmires of denial, delusion, depression, dysfunction, dumbness, depleted, ditzy, demanding….tired of living a lack luster life. The Teacher is called upon to educate that one can do nothing to correct or heal some outside of self relationship whether it is with mother, father, sister, brother, grandparents etc. Instead we initiate the possibility of an “Internal Family composed of all the ages and influences of our earth life so far. We then empower through education and practices to mend or upgrade the broken/false/fractured aspects of self.
Cross culturally it is recognized that most people believe their mental strength, intelligence results from the area between the ears in the head. The truth being that what we listen to between the ears can lie to us, deny, dominate us, where as Medicine People recognize that what lies beneath the head, our body holds our authentic, true history. The body is unable to lie, it just holds the mapping of harm, trauma, death, tragedies, passions. In a nano second the senses in one’s face (seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching) can get triggered, ignited in an intuitive, instinctual response. Then our brain between the ears jumps in to name what was felt as an emotion that then gets stored in one’s heart.
People who have suffered the “blind left swing”, the unexpected harm, the accident, will have what is now being called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, stored as a trigger point in our body/mind. It is so vulnerable, speaking from great experience, to lose control of how we respond, react to issues or situations that duplicate a previous trauma and pain.
In order to do this holy of wholing, reclamation of self takes a commitment of time and community. Often times when one is able to bring back, reorient to one’s fractured parts; it will call for counseling, support circles, devotional practice. As I have been taught, when a lost aspect of self returns, we must maintain a personal relationship with it for in a nano second, when we get triggered by a theme or an essence of past injury to soul, it can quickly leave our earth body (one’s consciousness) again unless we have woven a nest of golden sweetness and constant regard.

Global Grandmothers – MOVING MOUNTAINS Suzanne Lewis

MOVING MOUNTAINS
Suzanne Lewis, the starrose of Idaho

“And let us pray that we remember:
If mountains are made of grains of sand. We each are a grain.
Together, we can become a moving mountain for good.” Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes

“Moving Mountains, big medicine for the circle of light messengers, tribing together,
circling together in human form to be a giant grove of sacred trees with interwoven roots and shared protective canopy. Enabling us to be conduits of the magnificent joy juice,
the radiant beacons of golden light, the medicine for these times.” Suzanne

Suzanne Lewis, wanted to share an update on a Global Grandmothers’ Council Network for 2020. Since May when I shared: Brooke Medicine Eagle is putting a call out for Grandmother Councils everywhere to form and then a networking to unify our prayers for this great time of Reclamation for all our relations. Can we network?

I was and am deeply touched by the numbers of women, grandmothers, circles, organizations that have responded with an impactful YES. Sharon Riegie Maynard of Women Weaving the World, and a revered networker (2012 Grassroots Women’s Congress) and I have been “zoom” conversing with each other and with other grandmother circles and women’s organizations.

Are you interested in joining in on this urgent call for Networking Grandmother Councils  Networking Clan?

“The Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers speak to this greater source as The Grandmother of All Creation, the One who is the Maker of Life. The One we have forgotten and she who is calling us. She is coming back into our consciousness through prophecy and visions. She is bringing a profound nurturing, a depth of compassion and a kind of love we no longer remember, but which was strong in ancient times. This pure female energy will awaken in men and women”…. “The end of the world as we know it is near. The Grandmothers tell us that balance as a way of living is returning, balance in relations including with Mother Earth. A thousand years of peace is being ushered in for those who will make necessary changes in their hearts.”

I see this map of the earth, kind of what the Shift organization did in Birth 2012, where Grandmother Councils/Circles are happening, then a fb networking and an email announcing system. Everything we do right now is for the sake of 2020 and the Sacred Feminine, and the Sweet Earth and all her family of light, life and nature

I shared: “I heard the Dalai Lama stated: If Western Woman will come out from under the shadow of the great mountain, the earth will be saved.” And that the Hopi Wisdom Keepers are sharing: “When the grandmothers speak, The earth will be healed.” My revered Hopi Spiritual Messenger, Thomas Banyaca stressed: If the Elders will speak, the young will listen.” “When sleeping women wake, MOUNTAINS MOVE” Chinese proverb. The Navaho have “MOVING MOUNTAIN CHANT” and of course, “Because of your little faith,” he told them. “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Suzanne shared: This morning owls calling triggered deep contemplations. Are we as an Earth Family on the dark night of our Collective Soul’s journey? That piercing long shrill calling for attention right now. Will the response be as Dr. Estes’ petitioned: “And let us pray that we remember: If mountains are made of grains of sand. We each are a grain. Together, we can become a moving mountain for good.”

My home is a living altar, a treasury of artistic expressions. On a West wall I have a signed Navaho sand painting called MOVING MOUNTAINS. It came to me magically in 2012 as I persevered mending a traumatic brain injury and crushed body. During steeped prayers, I was given a vision to help me heal, Eagle Hawk Vision, that took almost a year to put into form with the aid of my trusted medicine helpers…THE PeaceWheel Practice: Dismantling Post Traumatic Stress Triggers..

Moving Mountains, big medicine for the circle of light messengers, tribing together, circling together in human form to be a giant grove of sacred trees with interwoven roots and shared protective canopy. Enabling us to be conduits of the magnificent joy juice, the radiant beacons of golden light, the medicine for these times.

“They tried to bury us.
They didn’t know we were seeds.”
Mexican Proverb

During the 30 years I have been walking as a Planetary Peacemaker (inside and out) a straining, disturbing pattern has repeated. Most of my native teachers have been mixed blood and as they have shared some of their people’s teachings with the Others subsequent judgment has resulting in their being shunned by their blood tribes. The traditional teachers and leaders did not want their sacred truths shared with white folks.
I wonder what it is going to take for all the Earth’s families to feel connected. I wonder what it is going to take for our personal blood families to be mended. If this is truly the time the ancient one’s predicted, some of our darkest times, will we be filled with enough integrity, kindness and quality communication skills to revamp our historical ‘blindsightedness’ and regain our rainbow clarity?

What is a Grandmother’s Council? Suzanne Lewis

WHAT IS A GRANDMOTHER’S COUNCIL?
Suzanne Lewis  January 2020
Some background around being a GrandMother. Since I was a very young child, I have had reoccurring dreams of a grandmother coming to me. In my dream I am out in a field, harvesting/digging roots when she comes to me behind me and she whispers into my left ear. She has never left me and advocates and guides from the invisible.
I met Brooke Medicine Eagle when I was 31 years old, dying from a brain growth in my Pituitary. She provided me with key wisdom that activated my inner physician and allowed me to use my active imagination to reframe my brain and heal. I participated in a four-year healing of the waters ceremonies with Brooke from 1984-1988. Brooke began calling me a GrandMother at the age of 35 when I healed from my “Downwinder poisoning.
Being a GrandMother means to me “Loving People and Feeding Them Well”. A GrandMother’s Council can take a 1000 forms (There’s a 1000 way to kneel and kiss the sweet Mother Earth”)
As I am a Celtic American with DNA roots to Ireland and Old Brit (Wales) I love Celtic Shamanistic dialogue around GrandMothers where there is such inclusiveness of the elements, family of mother nature, such that one can be a GrandMother for the whales, the waters, the air, the rocks and so on. So maybe one’s GrandMother Council is a Grove of Trees.
I am working on a manuscript called Holy Woman Reclaiming the Feminine Face of God. I have been drafting a chart based on the Great Wheel of Life naming the multitude of honorable, inherited archetypes, pattern holders with their special gifts and talents. I contend we must immediately stand up and name who we are. Breaking the patriarchial dominated language of diminishing and making invisible we powerful, important, proud leaders, teachers, visionaries, Great Mother Advocates.

NorthEast on the Great Wheel for me is the home of the Grandmothers’ Council, the wisdom keepers of the whole tribe, clan, land, it’s elements and animals. Whether one traces the indigenous peoples’ such as the Hopi, or the Iroquois, and others; one finds that before any chief, tribal leader can make a decision that affects its people and the earth, the Grandmother’s Council was consulted. The Grandmothers are the pattern keepers who are obligated to consider every aspect of the tribe, past and future. They are the moral compass and it is time for the Grandmothers’ Councils worldwide to be respected for their courageous hearts and steeped wisdom.
“I heard the Dalai Lama stated: If Western Woman will come out from under the shadow of the great mountain, the earth will be saved.” And that the Hopi Wisdom Keepers are sharing: “When the grandmothers speak, The earth will be healed.” My revered Hopi Spiritual Messenger, Thomas Banyaca stressed: If the Elders will speak, the young will listen.”
I am a fifth generation Idahoan and am a Planetary Peacekeeper, Wisdom Keeper, Mother, Earth Steward, Herstorean, author of Teacher of Heart: A Self Health Journey and The PeaceWheel Practice Guidebook: Dismantling Post Traumatic Stress and Harm. I am a Community Spiritual Leader and Healer. It takes a village to tend to the health and welfare and respect for all our family.
I also call myself a Rainbow Warrior, where the elders/grandparents stand beside the young during these heightened, harmful time. When one hears RAINBOW BRIDGE it can refer to the Rainbow Prophecy found in many tribes/cultures’ predictions. The RAINBOW is a blessing from the Creator. It can represent cross-cultural diversity and respect and beauty, it means generations standing beside one another. From the Hippies, with the Beatniks, with Indigo Children, with the nerds, with the geeks, with old with the young, with all of Mother Nature’s family….
In the Seventies, we who were unable to stand with our government regarding the draft, the Viet Nam Error, the nuclear proliferation and ignorance, the prejudice and injustice to all the minorities (women, blacks, children, ill, yellows, and list goes on as we are all some kind of minority); well we marched, protested and tried to be heard. We stood alone and were judged harshly.
The Rainbow prophecy declared that at this time when the young must take a stand, to lead the call for justice, safety, rehabilitation of our ways with nature etc., WE their Seventies radical activists, devoted Earth Stewards will stand right beside them. We will represent dignified unity for all.
It is time to be Legacy Leaders.
Return of the Ghost Dancers Calling Sky Walkers, Earth Dancers

“Have You Forgotten? I Am Your Mother. You Are Under My Protection.”
“There is a promise Holy Mother makes to us,” explains Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés, “that any soul needing comfort, vision, guidance, or strength can cry out to her, flee to her protection, and Blessed Mother will immediately arrive with veils flying. She will place us under her mantle for refuge, and give us the warmth of her most compassionate touch, and strong guidance about how to go by the soul’s lights.” Untie the Strong Woman is Dr. Estés’ invitation to come together under the shelter of The Mother—whether she appears to us as the Madonna, Our Lady of Guadalupe, or any one of her countless guises.

Global Grandmothers’ Council Network 2020 Suzanne Lewis

Global Grandmothers’ Council Network 2020

Cross Cultural Wisdom keeper Dr.Angeles Arriene
shared this Universal prayer:
“Let us take care of the youth, our children
For these have a long way to go
Let us take care of the Elders
For they have come a long way
And let us take care of those in between
For they are doing the work.”

“The Old Ones say the Native American women will lead the healing among the tribes. Inside them are the powers of love and strength given by the Moon and the Earth. When everyone else gives up, it is the women who sings the songs of strength. She is the backbone of the people. So, to our women we say, sing your songs of strength; pray for your special powers; keep our people strong; be respectful, gentle, and modest.” Village Wise Man, Lakota

“Prayer is not an old woman’s idle amusement.
Properly understood and applied, it is the most potent instrument of action” – Mahatma Gandhi

Suzanne here, this editorial I wrote in 2014. Grandmother Flordemayo shared with me that the Original 13 International Grandmothers was a closed group. Grandmother councils have spiraled out around the globe as a result. I feel that a call is being heard globally, similar to the call that brought the original 13 International Grandmothers. We have formed Global Grandmothers’ Council Network 2020 Suzanne Lewis

All over this sweet Earth and throughout time, caring peoples have created stone circles. Sometimes this circle is called a Medicine Wheel, the Great Wheel of Life, a labyrinth and to today still an active energetic presence for land based, cross-cultural peoples Unlike Westerners who are dependent on emails, telephones and written proof; Indigenous people have a deep knowing that the circles are a web as well; an inter-connected ” telegraph like vibrational communication system”.

People who trust and love the sacred circle, know their petitioning’s, intentions, prayers are sent out through invisible energetic waves to others. All over the Earth and beyond these waves are felt and responded to with encouragement and support. Without any doubt or proof, those who use the Circle as a universal amplification/resonance tool do so with deep, simple trust.

Sometimes this is called the original network.

Because of the dire, destructive, horrific conditions of our Families, our CHILDREN, our sweet MOTHER EARTH, the status of our US government and policies: we must immediately become a fierce force for the voiceless and disrespected and harmed.

Suzanne here, it is going to take a global village of wise elders, establishing their Grandmother’s Council/clan/family/element advocates and then acting as a mediator, an active channel receiving the global network’s calls and prayers, and then relaying it back to their tribe.

We are creating a Global Network via the web.

Parts of the prophecy I have learned for this very time period are in the way of the “circle.” A time which demands that people from all cultures, colors, religions come together, honoring our cross-cultural diversity and be able to respect and communicate with one another. It’s the prophetic song that sings through my deep soul. It’s the message I received through the Creator as I regained my health and capacity to live. The call for Circles appears everywhere I look and listen. Once we circle, we must promise to “walk a mile in each other moccasins/feet” so we can be compassionate of each and other’s complexions, history.

Summer, Home of the Healer Suzanne Lewis

Summertime, South on the Great Wheel of life,
Home of the Healer archetype
Summertime, South on the Great Wheel of life, is the home of the Healer archetype, one who advocates good relations with both one’s inner family as well as outer family. A healer models quality communication skills and love in action. According to the teachings of White Buffalo Calf Woman, we are all one family…the earth, the stars, the four legged, two legged, winged ones, waters, winds, trees, those that creep and crawl…we are all related and we are to be in good relations. At a cellular, spiritual level, we are the same. South, summer, is the season for advocating our intimate connection with all.

Summer is fire element in the Oriental Five Element health system focuses on the Heart, Small Intestine, Triple Heater and the Pericardium (the liner of the heart). Simply stated the heart is the spiritual center/fulcrum of the body and the small intestine, our ability to digest emotionally what life gives us. Indigenous people speak that fire was a gift from the Creator/God to we ‘two leggeds’ to bring light, warmth and the ability to be fed. Fire is the agent of change.
Our life must have heart and meaning. Literally the heart receives and disperses blood, the essence of aliveness. The small intestine receives nutritional matter and then with help from the kidneys disperses its contents. The healthier foods we consume, the more peace we have while taking in the nutrition and the easier it is for the small intestine to process and move on the fuel for our vitality.

The fire element in the Five Element health system is quite complex as it has a component called the triple heater, which roughly translates as our ability to heat up and cool down with the changing of the seasons and passions. We in the Western world may find this quite foreign. The pericardium, the liner of the heart, figuratively connects with one’s ability to have healthy boundaries, safety. In life through challenging relationships with self, with others, with nature, with spirit and so on, one sometimes incurs violations, misconduct, and illness. Many, after repeated chapters of mistrust and hurt, either consciously or unconsciously go about barricading the heart, putting up blocks that prevent us from feeling connected to another being or situation.

Summertime, the South on the Wheel, the elements of heart, passion and assimilation all demand that each of stop, reconnect with the universal heartbeat that makes us register that if one part of the Circle of Life is hurting, we are all hurting. It is the time to support that which has heart and meaning and can be felt through our senses. The outside nature of Mother Earth reflects the nature of we human’s body, our earth.
Sometimes the lightning bolt figuratively and literally comes down from the heavens and gyrates back to the sky unless something grounds the electricity which will create a fire. Remember when you last felt the singe of the unexpected bolt of energy that came from nowhere? Did your life change?

When water, like the blood of we humans, is depleted it is harder to keep things vitally alive, green. According to the Oriental Five Element Theory, when the water element is out of balance, immediately the fire element is injured. Issues of how one is handling issues of relationships, health and communication are destined to be a priority this summer season

Simply stated, the heart is the spiritual center/fulcrum of the body. Another way of talking about the small intestine is it is responsible for digesting our emotions. Consuming food when distressed results in health complications. Eating foods that are ‘dead’, laden with toxins or oils or in poor combinations create a great challenge for our body to be nourished. Being dependent on chemicals, whether we call it false spirits (alcohol), strong medicines or sugars challenge our internal organ and glandular system greatly.

I love the Cherokee teachings of the guardians of the directions. My teacher Dhyani Ywahoo, a 27th generation Cherokee medicine women, once told me about the three grandmothers, called guardians, who watch over the South on the wheel. She described them as swaddled in cloth wraps such that only their noses and eyes can be seen. They are in the South because they want to help families, children, loving, and the way of healing harmful patterns to the family of life. Then Dhyani’s voice softened and she whispered, “You know that the guardians are really grandfathers who are tired of the way of war, maiming and killing. They have come from the North, the home of the Warrior, to the South, the home of the healer, where they feel they can be more effective.”

Ah, maybe it is time for each of our own warrior natures to show up in the South to help in the healing process.

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength,
while loving someone deeply gives you courage. — Lao Tzu

the ones who bring out the best in you.
They are the rare and amazing people who reminds you why it’s worth it. Jenny McCarthy

We are creating a Global Network via the web.

It’s the prophetic song that sings through my deep soul. It’s the message I received through the Creator as I regained my health and capacity to live. I heard Barrack Obama’s Spiritual Message this past week. A message that is older than the oldest mountains…we must get past the adversarial mindset and discover a way to circle and communicate, I was exalted. His capacity to be honest and respectful of his community and family and spirituality was prophetic. His asking each of us to suck it up, show up, communicate and care for the whole brought tears to my eyes. Yes, Yes, we can! We all are a product of our dna, our blood, our family’s heritage, our environment and advocacy. Now let’s learn about each other.
When I heard his minister passionately speak his reflections of being a black person in a historically “good ol’ white boy’s club” I nodded in agreement. As an eclectic person who walks as a spiritual healer and ceremonial advocate and writer for self health and a single mother, I too have bumped up against the “good ol’ white boy’s club.” I contend we are all just a bunch of minorities and we each have the common thread of facing resistance from another corner of humanity.
We can choose to be a victim and collapse or runaway; we can do the typical and take a stance to fight and project defame; or we can choose to form Circles. Circles that allow for diversity, that commit to a sustainable form of communication, that postpones solving any “problem” and encourages trust and respect and time to learn about each other. Together, we then be afforded a rainbow spectrum of possibilities to live together healthily, respecting the sweet Mother Earth and her family, and all the while connected by the tiny mustard seed of faith that WE ARE ONE. The prophecy indicates that if we can CIRCLE, the possibilities of a harmonious, healthy life on Earth is tangible for all the Family of Life, Light and Nature.

Struggling souls catch light from other souls who are fully lit and willing to show it.”

INCIDENTS LIKE MIDDLETON’S CAUSE LASTING DAMAGE TO STUDENTS OF COLOR Tracy Sedano 11/21/2018

IdahoEdNews.org on November 21, 2018

I grew up in the rural part of the Magic Valley as an academically high-achieving, first-generation Mexican-American student. In high school I took a full range of dual-credit courses, had a 4.0 grade point average, and served on student council, National Honor Society, Key Club, and as editor of our school yearbook.

Tracy Sedano

Given my accomplishments, you might assume that as an adolescent I had frequent conversations with my teachers and principals about opportunities I could and should pursue. But that wasn’t the case. Instead, I was discouraged in school from thinking of myself as “college material.” I can’t count the number of times teachers in dual-credit courses sent me a clear message that I did not belong in educational environments, and that I was not worthy of “going on.”

That’s why the story of the Middleton teachers who dressed as the border wall and stereotypes of Mexicans knotted my stomach: because it reminded me of how biases against and beliefs about students of Mexican descent affected my own life. It is impossible for me to see the teachers’ actions as simply thoughtless or harmless.

Those costumes displayed what I call covert racism, in contrast to the overt racism from which most of us recoil. But it’s at least as damaging.

From elementary school through high school, not once did a teacher, counselor, or administrator tell me college was a viable option for my future.

In fact, I consistently had to fight stereotypes, assumptions, and biases (implicit and explicit) from educators. The message sent to me by the dominant U.S. culture was that educational institutions were not created for people like me. To even have been attending school was a defiance of these stereotypes and assumptions.

Children can be impressionable, and tend to internalize opinions expressed by authority figures, including teachers. I was no exception. I worked hard to persevere despite the criticisms and messages I was receiving. I worked tirelessly not to internalize these messages, to defy them by believing in myself.

But I am only human. Their lack of confidence in my abilities cut deep and left scars. Confronting doubts from others is one thing, but to face uncertainty from and about yourself is an incredibly isolating feeling.

That’s why the Middleton incident is so damaging. When a student of Mexican descent sees those teachers in costumes promoting the degradation of the Mexican culture they receive the message that they are not welcomed. What they internalize is “get out of our classrooms and out of our country.”

When the superintendent reinstated the teachers, he said “there is nothing more than love and commitment in the hearts of these teachers.” I am sure those teachers do not hate their Latino students, and on some level may well even love them. But they need to look deep inside at their unexamined biases and how those biases play out in their relationships with students of color.

I see this incident as a call to action for educators to become more thoughtful, culturally competent practitioners. It’s about doing the heavy work of analyzing our own biases, recognizing how they shape our belief systems; how they show up in our actions and in how we treat students.

Are Idaho teachers competently navigating those biases to create safe, inclusive spaces where our students feel secure to learn? Unfortunately, this incident answers that question with a resounding ‘no.’

Idaho struggles with its dropout and go-on rates. As our state’s Latino population continues to grow, these challenges will become more severe if we do not address the messages being sent to these students that going on is not a real option for them.

So please, do not tell me that what those Middleton educators did was ultimately harmless.

Still, it may end up having a positive result, if it opens people’s eyes to the struggles for respect and a sense of belonging of students who look like me go through in schools every day across this state and this nation. A resource that has been helpful to me as an educator and used in my work with teachers is Teaching Tolerance, which provides resources to help teachers and schools educate children and youth to be active participants in a diverse democracy.

Suzanne Lewis announcing PeaceWheel Practice Guidebook: Dismantling Post Traumatic Stress and Harm is published

peace front page

Good day to you,
Suzanne Lewis, visionary author, teacher and healer, announcing that her second book, PeaceWheel Practice Guidebook: Dismantling Post Traumatic Stress and Harm is officially launched and available at Amazon.com in hardback, with photographs; and as a Kindle book.
If you would like to purchase the Guidebook directly from me, please let me know. If you are in the Boise area and could come by and pick it up there would be no shipping expense. If you want a signed Guidebook and live elsewhere, postage will be needed. The cost of the book is $25.
I am working with a fine helper to have an audio instructional tape of the PeaceWheel Practice….in time it will be available.
PeaceWheel Practice Explanation Suzanne Lewis, Visionary and Author The PeaceWheel offers an inspired option, a utilitarian tool, antidote for optimistic, sustainable, upgraded character building, personality enhancing, relationship strengthening, vitality boosting, focused on being WHOLE, safe, heard and respected and being enough. When question where did you learn of this wheel? Who else already has it? It is then that I confess I received this visionary tool while in deep prayer after my near-death car accident and resultant traumatic brain injury and crushed body. I consider it Universal Sacred Wisdom gifted from my eternal great teachers and ancestors.
The PeaceWheel prototype, tool and accompanying Guidebook is a channeled/downloaded integration of the new medicine tools I’ve gained post traumatic brain injury and my thirty-year career as a Wholistic ‘Hands On’ HEALER and TEACHER. Integrating the Medicine Wheel and the Five Element Theory with Sustainable Communication is my personal field of expertise and I have a library filled with cross-cultural “Body-Mind” wisdom tools.
After almost a year of meditative “trance-lation”, I see it based on the four directions and center. The five archetypes of humanity, our five bodies, one’s authentic, magical nature; the five broken, harmed child false belief patterns, and the language to empower choice. Western Mind is challenged to trust or validate this holy scribe’s transmission, healing gift from grace. I was told that I was still in physical form to totally commit to aide in “dismantling the trigger in one’s body-mind” as a result of PTSD, TBI, Anxiety disorders, depression, hypersensitivity.
Suzanne Lewis shares: The Great Wheel of Life becomes a compass as well as medicine tool to assist us to view the patterns, the archetypes of humanity, one’s authentic blueprint of Earth walk. If harmed, the broken child belief nature results. Stepping the PeaceWheel, connecting through one’s senses; offers the antidotes or the healing salves, as I prefer to call them, which encourages mending and strengthening. This empowerment nurtures an individual back to their authentic self, their personal integrity, their true nature. The PeaceWheel Practice provides an opportunity to discover one’s strongest sense and learn to utilize this enhanced essence as a spiritual gifting. “Through our senses, hearing, smelling, toning, seeing, and touching, we experience impulses, stimuli, that through our “animal nature/body” instinctually responds with a feeling, a sensation. Then we engage our mental faculties between our ears to name what we are feeling as an “emotion”, love, hate, despair, fear, angst, joy, sad, delight, wonder….
Then the emotion gets stored in one’s heart. Through one’s sense’s we mend frayed and damaged neuro-pathways. After trauma, the brain has a phenomenal compensation process. Where there is a loss of skill, sense, speaking, touching, hearing, smelling, touching…another will become enhanced.” Global Stress Disorder with post-traumatic stress response. This morning I heard a new terminology, for me, that our precious Mother Earth and all her peoples are in Global Stress Disorder with post-traumatic stress response…the whole planet! That’s when the bell of truth rang through me. As a repairing PTSD person, knowing in a nano-second one can become triggered. The trigger occurs through one’s senses, whether through seeing, hearing, smelling, touching it’s our instinctive protection response. The adrenalin starts dumping with a flight or fight stand, shortness of breath, sweats, skin crawling, nausea, body tremoring. An integrated body-oriented approach to treat and repair trauma triggers. Healing Instinctual Injuries Through Sensory Integration Activities, Medicine Tools for Mending the Harmed Five Archetypes of Humanity “In a remembering, you felt a way to survive, and you were filled with joy and delight.”

Several have asked me to share this slide from my talk at Bioneers. How the macro connects to the micro. Here it is. <3 "To understand the root causes of the pathologies we see today which impact all of us but affect Brown, Black and Poor people more intensely, we have to examine the foundations of this society which began with COLONIZATION. To me, to be colonized means to be disconnected and disintegrated—from our ancestry, from the earth, from our indigeneity, our earth-connected selves. We all come from earth-connected people, people who once lived in deep connection to the rhythms of nature. I believe it is not a coincidence that the colonization of this land happened at the same time that Europeans were burning hundreds of thousands of witches, those women who carried the traditional indigenous knowledge of the tribes of Europe. Colonization was the way the extractive economic system of Capitalism came to this land, supported by systems of supremacy and domination which are a necessary part to keep wealth and power accumulated in the hands of the colonizers and ultimately their financiers. In what is now known at the US, this system of supremacy is expressed in many ways with many outcomes but we will focus on specific ones for the sake of time. First white supremacy, which created a framework that legitimized slavery and genocide. Slavery created cheap labor which is necessary for a functioning capitalist system. And genocide created unlimited access to resources, in the form of land, animal parts, minerals and raw materials which are also necessary for a functioning capitalist economy. And as capitalism functions, it further entrenches systems of supremacy. We all know that white supremacy looks like scary people with swastikas in hoods. But it can also look like any place where there’s an abundance of white people in exclusive contexts, where power and access is not readily ceded to others. There’s white supremacy and then there’s male supremacy, AKA patriarchy, which leads to the invisibilizing of women’s labor (you know, like creating the entire human race out of our bodies) or in this context, reproducing the work force and suppressing our wages, which further supports capitalism. Patriarchy also leads to femicide, domestic violence and child abuse, which we see across all groups here.
We also see human supremacy, where people feel superior to the rest of living entities, thereby subjecting living soils, seeds, animals, plants and water to horrific treatment in the name of exploiting resources, which in turn feeds the capitalist need for ever-increasing profits. While this wheel of domination, exploitation, generation and sequestration of wealth continues, we experience as a byproduct and common pathway TRAUMA and many studies have shown us that chronic stress and trauma create chronic inflammation." #Bioneers2018 #SocialMedicine #Decolonize #MniWiconiClinicAndFarm #TheJusticeStudy
