old computer photos 082 Spring 2015 arrived early this year here in Idaho. we are in need of waters. As one who dances with Mother Nature, I am deeply inspired by the early spring flowers especially the hyacinths, pink, yellow, periwinkle, purples happily celebrate a brand new season of living.
In my greenhouse room, 100’s of heirloom tomato starts bravely grow amongst my blossoming geraniums, roses, azaleas and hibiscus plants. My garden inside and out resiliently celebrates renewal, vitality.
Around the holy season I received an invite from Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes to study with her on the topic THE MYSTERIUM. Ah she is my all-time heroine, mystical cross cultural storyteller. During the first years after my crash and abrupt change of life, Dr. Este’s online discourses covering her lifetime of devotion and attention to “The Dangerous Old Woman”…Liberating the Wild Woman comforted me. She, Dr. Angeles Arriene and Venerable Dyhani Ywahoo audio teachings were my life line. With a traumatic brain injury, reading, writing, scientific thinking and speaking had to be repaired, rewired.
Listening, breathing and deep space stillness were my healing salves.
Dr. Este’s teachings continued through the years with the series How to Be an Elder, The Late Bloomer, Untie the Strong Woman, The Joyous Body and Warming the Stone Child. I listened to her blend of Jungian Psychology and Archetypal Storytelling over and over and over again. Sometime during the past five years she extended an invitation to come train with her. I inquired but was still too broken and dappled to travel.
So the invite that came just before Christmas, was out of the clear blue.
The summons, the Call to those healing professionals. (See below)
I knew without a shadow of a doubt I was to be there. In my words she is bridging psychotherapy, Shamanism and sustainable Storytelling.
In 2012 I had a vision I called the EAGLE-HAWK VISION, this was when I was still unable to write. I received the imprint of what I called THE PEACEWHEEL PRACTICE, a cross cultural tool to dismantle the triggers in the body/mind post trauma, disease, injury, etc. The document took over six months to channel, translate and put on paper. It is a brilliant tool, it works.
The foundational structure is the medicine wheel, the four directions and the center. It ties is the archetypal strengths as well as the brokenness, that which I call the wounded child. Why am I sharing this? I know that Dr. Estes intention to also focus on the woundedness and then the appropriate, language to story tell an upgraded script, personalized to the harm is the advanced medicine tool needed in the PEACEWHEEL PRACTICE document.
Softly I am hearing “I pray before I pass that this wonderful healing tool/practice can be received and utilized by all the wounded warriors, depressed humanity and special wired young.”
(This June, in The Mysterium: Psychology . . . In the Truest Sense of the Word, we will delve into rejoining body to the other four aspects of our being: layered mind, emotional heart, ancient soul, and animating child spirit.
The intelligence broadcasted to us by our bodies is the most often set aside. The Body ought be an equal and honored partner. And in this work, we will aim toward precisely that: a blessing reunification of what I’d call ‘the lost companion,’ that is, The Body.
As you may have noticed, I have taught my work very rarely in ‘live face-to-face seminars’ over these past 44 years. Yet being very aware there are more years behind me than ahead as an elder now, I felt my bones summoning me . . . for there comes a time to teach the old ways and the new ways, that is, what is hard won and that which I’ve carried wrapped as safely as possible upriver, and against all contravening weathers.
Thus . . .
If you are a teacher, therapist, healer, a helping professional, I invite you to join me for this one-of-a-kind professional training, The Mysterium 2014: Psychology . . . In the Truest Sense of the Word. For five days, we’ll live together in learning and practice of the many-layered world, defining ‘the bones’ and—like the force in my La Loba story—singing over the bones of lost knowledge and new knowings . . . bringing back to life by exploring the visible and invisible aspects of The Body—from all directions.

I am so looking forward to teaching you through the old stories, through modern theory, through ancestral customs, through your sharing with us all as you wish, and also in small groups—so you can practice and discuss what you are learning that has meaning for you. )
