Editorial: Purpose

In 1987, during the Harmonic Convergence, I began a journey that would bring

me home to myself, a self that would grow tremendously beyond anything I could

ever have imagined before I attended a gathering called Dance Awake The Dream.

Through the experiences of that year, and both the magical and mundane

experiences of the years since then, I was lead to such diverse tools as

psychotherapy, twelve step programs, body work, soul retrieval and a host of

other spiritual avenues that all held keys to my growth. I also came to realize the

importance coming to voice, sharing with others tools that assisted me, and the

ripples of healing that spread out to all of us when just one person makes a change

in his or her life.

This publication is about that- giving voice to what we have witnessed,

experienced, come to know and how we have grown in the process.

In the Seneca tradition, the wolf clan are the teachers, for wolves travel down

pathways, observing what is there and traveling back to the pack to tell the rest

what they have discovered down those pathways. In the spirit of the wolf clan we

offer what we have discovered down the paths of the heart and of the spirit. Our

intention is share only that which is positive and of the Light. We do so with great

respect and gratitude for all the teachers who have shared wisdom with us.

This publication will focus on the mind, body, heart and spirit through seasonal

health tips, poetry, medicine stories and planetary alignment information. The

publication will culminate yearly in a compressed book of health wisdom.

If one purpose is to share resources and personal stories, another part of that

purpose is to be a bridge. This publication is also intended as a bridge to the

website Wholisticbodymind.com, a network of alternative health care practitioners,

artisans and people following their heart path to promote themselves, their writings

and their tools of trade. This networking encourages dialogue and wisdom sharing

for the inquiring public and the practitioners. We view the website as another

bridge that brings people and practioners with information together to help in

healing which ultimately benefits all the family of life and the planet on which we

live.
